A small pod business continues to grow in Kingston, planning to quadruple its manufacturing in 2019.
While SnapCab used to only manufacture elevator panel interiors, it has taken that expertise and technology to create small workspace pods. The pods have taken off around the world. The company now has a huge partnership with Steelcase, one of the world’s largest furniture manufacturers, as well as massive clients such as Amazon, General Motors, and soon Microsoft.
The pods, which come in three sizes, are mobile — on casters that lock into place — feature a sound-suppression system, a power bar to enable the use of a computer, and a whiteboard wall for writing on (or a panoramic panel if the client prefers).
